"A much better driving experience with effortless torque and power and improved fuel economy! It doesn't get much better!"

HPF CRD-Flash tuning is THE state of the art way of improving both power and torque for your modern common rail diesel engine. By re-calibrating the factory engine computer unit (ECU) we are able to optimize the engine power and torque output as well as improve the vehicles fuel economy by as much as 10%. Reprogramming the vehicles ECU has a number of advantages not at least is that we can retain all of the manufacturers inbuilt safety features as we are not tricking or going behind the ECU’s back. Additionally, reprogramming the ECU gives us the unparalleled ability to alter torque management tables, throttle mapping, boost pressure, fuel pressure & injector timing to name just a few… something no individual chip or module can come close to claiming. Real world average gains of around 25% more power and 25% more torque with no degradation to reliability or drive-ability shows that with CRD-Flash tuning technology you really can have your cake and eat it too!

The process requires the vehicle to be at the Horse Power Factory for a period of one day, where our specialist tuners set the vehicle up on our All Wheel Dyno for a baseline dyno run. The vehicle is then connected to our state of the art ECU reading and writing hardware. Our tuner then continues by adjusting the ECU parameters, all the time monitoring the progress on the dyno screen and via our ECU logging devices and EGT sensors.

At HPF we custom tune every vehicle and each vehicle is returned to the customer along with a dyno graph showing the baseline dyno run and the final run, this graph will display the gains in both Power and Torque for comparison.

Hey was wondering if you have done a 140kw d40 with a exhaust and a upgraded cooler, was looking into getting a re map

  2. avatar

I’m looking at building a navara D40 V6 diesel, Im just wondering if you offer a stage 2 or 3 type of build to push out even more torque and HP? Something that would compete on an endurance desert event. Would the v6 diesel be adequate or would I be better off with a D40 LS3 conversion?

    • avatar

Hi Troy, sorry for the delayed response we don’t offer a Stage 2 or 3 option for the Nivara. Not sue about suitability for desert events maybe the LS3 Conversion might be an option as you say.

  3. avatar

hi do you have an option for nissan patrol y61 automatic 2016 model

how many kw and torque we can increase

  4. avatar

Hi just got a brand new D23, had it lifted and AT tires on, and had snorkel fitted. Other than that all factory standard. I am thinking to have it tuned. May I ask what package you ate doing now for D23, would that affect factory warranty? Thanks

  5. avatar

Dear sirs I´m interested in your products, how con I contact you?

  6. avatar

Hey. I e got a D22. How much would I be looking at for the remap and exhaust fitted? What gains would I be looking at with these two mods done? Cheers

  7. avatar

    Hello Rob,

I am looking at buying a D40 2.5L 126kw/ 403nm tune or a 79 series v8 cruiser. Obviously there is a big price difference, but I’m leaning towards the d40 because its bit more comfortable and suited to my uses. What I would like know is what is the most NM you’ve seen this model put out before. Would be looking at having an ECU tune, 3 inch stainless straight through exhaust, oil catch can, EGR bypass, snorkel and high flow air filter ( K&N). Please advise if there is other performance mods out there apart from bigger turbo & intercooler. Also what brand exhaust systems do you sell there?

    Hi Matt,
Just want to say a very big thanks to you and the boys for yesterdays work on my D40. The drive home was so different, the power comes on much smoother and it pulls harder down low. The ecu reflash and new exhaust have made an amazing difference. I’m waiting for a long run over the weekend to see if its improved my economy, but any improvement on 17l/110km will be welcome. Shouls have come to you guys a long time ago instead of wasting money on the chip I had installed.
    Cheers, Tony.

  9. avatar

Hi I m mr gill just recently purchase nissan patrol gu y61 2013. thinking to put chip . Is it really increase the power ??if someone suggest me thanks

  10. avatar

I have a 2013 D22 navara with 2.5″ cat back exhaust and a chip. The chip is the type that increases fuel pressure and the vehicle has much better drivability and pulls much lower in the rev range but I don’t think it produces huge increases in power or torque.

Do you think I would get much benefit from your flash tune?

If I went ahead would you dyno with my chip first to see if I would get much benefit over my existing system?

What would the cost be if after initial dyno run I decided not to get the flash tune?

    Thanks John

    • avatar

      Hi John,

Yes you would definitely get a benefit from custom remapping the ECU over a fuel only chip.

Cost to do a dyno run and check is $165 which would be deducted from the $1195 if you decided to go ahead with the ECU re-map.

    Hi Guys
I have a 2008 patrol auto with std exhaust
Last year we travelled into NT up to Alice towing a Cub camper I was getting 20l/100k at 80kph,100kph or 130pkh did not change
when I got home went to local ARB put it on Dyno a fault came up to replace Air sensor Nissan replaced sensor
since then had it Dyno tuned & fitted a chip went from 77KW to 91KW
also fuel still crappy when towing
Will remapping help & how does remapping effect problem with motor blowing will it remove problem
what do you recommend hope you can assist
    thanks Rick

    Hey guys,
I have a 2013 Nissan Patrol CRD, just wondering if you do a full 3 inch exhaust for the coil ute? Thanks

    • avatar

      Hi Peter,

We do a stainless steel 3″ turbo back system. Your looking at $1096 with no cat or $1322 with a cat. These price as not fitted.

  13. avatar

    Hi Matt,
Just a note to say thanks to you and your team for the work on my Ranger yesterday.
The turbo lag has been substantially reduced and is now almost non existent. The vehicle is running much better than at any time in the last 15 months that I’ve owned it.
I am an extremely satisfied customer… I shall write a most favourable review on your website.
    Kind regards,
    Ford PX Ranger 2.2 litre

Is there a reason why there is a big difference between the dyne graph of the 2014 D40 Navara 128kw tune only and the 2010 D40 tune + exhaust?

    • avatar

      Hi Bill,

I do not have specific’s in front of me for each of the cars we have done but by looking at both graph’s it show the final output is very similar but the before runs are quite different, the car with the ‘tune only’ was below 80kw at the wheels where the car with the exhaust was around 90kw, hence the percentage of gain is different. I am not sure as to why there is so much difference between the before runs of those two cars but i have looked through all of the 128kw graphs on file and they are all around 90kw at the wheels standard.

  15. avatar

Matt, thanks for your great service and assistance with my car. As you suggested would be the case I’m very impressed with the outcome. I think I’m pretty well qualified to say that anyone putting an after market chip on their navara is wasting their money, the re mapping wins hands down.

It’s hard to judge but all indications from the trip home are that fuel economy is improved as well, not certain yet as it was hard not to stick the boot in.

    Kind regards Les

Hi I have a r51 pathfinder auto 2.5 lt diesel and I was just wondering what u can offer in tge way of exaust, tune or chip and maybe intercooler upgrades plz. Cheers.

    • avatar

      Hi Michael,

The main gain in performance is going to be from reprogramming the vehicles ECU. You can expect at least a genuine 20% increase in power and torque, also, a 10% increase in economy in not unheard of. We do not have an exhaust option for the Pathfinder ATM but can do an upgraded intercooler for $1295 plus fitting. We also have PVC catch cans in stock and can do an EGR block off.

  17. avatar

My 2.5 D22 has the erg blocked, a 3″ exhaust and high flow air filter. I had the ecu remapped and gave the after market chip the flick. The results are nothing short of awesome. 95.4 kW and strong power from idle through to 3500. In top gear it pulls like a 15 yo! Very happy with the results, would advocate remapping over an after market chip any day.

95.4 at the rear wheels converts to around 126 at the flywheel. Roughly.

I have a 2011 Navara 3.0 V6. Within the first 6 months a warning light came on and as a result I had the EGR unit replaced. After I thought all was good, had a chip and 3″ exhaust installed only to have another warning light come on. I had the chip and exhaust removed only to find that the EGR unit needed to be replaced again. It was replaced and further warning lights continued to come on. After exhaustive arguments with Nissan they finally realised that the turbo had failed and replaced it under warranty. After giving the repaired turbo time I had a Steinbauer module installed. 206kw and 603NM. To date no warning lights have come on. My inquiry is, “Can I increase the performance by installing a 3″ exhaust to compliment the Steinbauer?”
Will the Particulate Filter need to remain? Thank You

    • avatar

      Hi Craig,

The exhaust system (and DPF) is restrictive on that vehicle to the tune of around 10kw at the wheels. We offer a 3″ system (not Turbo back) including a DPF delete for $1250 supplied and fitted.

Hi I have a 2012 2wd rx navara its a 106kw what figures would you think a flash tune could get out of it. Cheers scott

    • avatar

      Hi Scott,

You can expect at least 25% more power and torque, which will give you around 456nm and 135kw. I would think these figures would be the minimum we could achieve.

  20. avatar

I have a 2009 nissan navara 2.5 turbo diesel wth a beaudesert 2 3/4 exhuast fitted. what could i expect to get from a CRD-flash tune

    Thank You

  21. avatar

Hi do you have finance options available?
What are prices for exhaust and intercooler upgrade along with flash tune for 2012 d22 str navara. Cheers

  22. avatar

    Hi Rob
I have a 2012 Navara v6 diesel and would like to improve the econnomy and performance. I also have a long range fuel tank fitted and would like the distance till empty gauge to read correctly. I think the ECU would need to know the new fuel tank size is this possible?

    • avatar

      Hi Dennis,

The V6 Nav goes pretty good standard but the tune is another level. You can expect to see around 209kw and 600nm. I don’t think we can do the distance until empty though, i don’t believe that is ECU related.

  23. avatar

I have a Nissan Navara D40 (extended cab ute) which can barely get to 600km before i need to refill the 80 litre tank. As you can probably tell, its the fuel economy which is my main interest… what options do you have for me?

    • avatar

      Hi Paul,

Firstly you want to make sure the car has no other mechanical issues like a blocked cat or squashed exhaust, a dyno run and inspection can tell us that pretty easy, secondly we can retune this car’s factory ECU, this will allows us to optimize the power and torque to make the engine as efficient as possible. In terms of power gains, you can expect to increase the power and torque by around 20%. The price is $1195. Economy is a hard one, if you are towing heavy loads the tune will make a massive difference (maybe 3-4 litres per 100k better) but around town the gains in economy will be less noticeable (maybe 1-2 litres per 100km better).

  24. avatar

Hi i am looking for an tune for my 2012 Nissan Pathfinder 3.0 V6 diesel.
    Do you have any recommendations?

    • avatar

We can certainly help you out. There are a few options you could consider from a standard ECU tune to a Steinbauer module. Give us a call and we can fill you in with the benefits of each along with quotes.

  25. avatar

    Hey guys,
Do you have an option for a GU 4.2L turbo model?
If yes, what figures do you usually see?

  26. avatar

Still looking for the right one. Thanks for the pricing. What warranty is offered. Y hpf? Both chip and exhaust? Cat back or includes cats too?

  27. avatar

i am looking at maybe purchasing the diesel R51 pathy, the 128kw is too little for me. your upgrade shows 154kw, but is there any other mods available to increase this even more? such as better exhaust etc? thx
