"If the quiet, unassuming, all ready brisk, V8 is not enough for you... We can help.... a lot - *insert evil laugh here* "

HPF in conjunction with Harrop Engineering has established a range performance upgrade packages to suit Nissan’s new generation Patrol, the 5.6 litre V8, Y62 Patrol.  The Stage-1 package starts by adding a higher flowing mandrel bent stainless steel ‘cat back’ exhaust system and a high flow air filter element to get that V8 breathing nice and deep! We then custom tune the Y62’s factory ECU on the dyno to optimize the calibration for 98 octane fuel. The Stage-2 continues on with our technicians fitting 4-1 headers along with high flow catalytic converters to further increase the engines breathing capabilities and sound,we then custom dyno tune the ECU to tie all these parts together to work seamlessly in to a grunty package with the sound to match.

Stage-3 is where things get a little more serious, designed and manufactured by Harrop to OE standards, the Y62 supercharger utilizes the latest generation Eaton TVS supercharger technology. The FDFI2300 Supercharger system for the Nissan Y62 Patrol was a clean sheet design specifically to offer the most efficient, reliable and powerful package available. The front drive/front inlet design allows for a shorter less restrictive intake path, improving air flow and delivering superior performance. Like all Harrop products, quality, performance and vehicle integration is fundamental in delivering OE quality and fitment to the aftermarket.

Stage-4 is a combination of the Stage-2 package and the Stage-3 Supercharger package and gives the optimum in both power and sound! I mean if you got the grunt, you naturally want the rest of the guys around you to know it!!

Like all HPF upgrade packages these packages are modular in that it allows the customer to add to the package minimising the requirement to spend money twice when and if further upgrades are desired. HPF strive to bring you maximum performance with high quality components while still maintaining reliability and driveability. At the end of the upgrade package we will provide you with a dyno graph comparing the ‘before’ power & torque and the ‘after’ increase the HPF upgrade has made to your vehicle.

Additional Notes

  • We recommend all vehicles coming to HPF for tuning run 98 Octane fuel. Please contact us if you have a need to use different fuel.
  • Power figures listed are estimated kilowatts at the flywheel based on results typically obtained by HPF on HPF’s dynos. Typically these are based of a manual vehicle with standard driveline and standard wheels and tyres. Actual power can vary based on each specific vehicle.
  • Modifications such as this package require the vehicle to be in excellent mechanical order.
  • We advise against increasing the power output substantially on high kilometer engines, if your engine has in excessive of 150,000kms please contact us to discuss options.
  • Whilst every attempt is made to ensure prices listed online are correct, they are subject to change at any time.
  • Additional parts may be required in some cases depending on the condition of the vehicle. Cost of these parts and additional labor required may incur additional cost.

    Hello Guys
    I’m from Sydney
What software do you use to tune the ECU

    Hi Guys,

I am interested in the stage 3 package for my Y62 but I am concerned about the drive train reliability under the increased power. I’m no hoon but would like to explore the power without being too concerned about breakages. What’s your thoughts on this?

    Hi, I have a 2108 Infiniti QX80, same as the Y62 patrol
    Can you tune this model?

How does this affect the fuel economy?

I understand that a stock Y62 can only manage about 16 Litres/100Kms. I understand that with some turbocharged vehicles you can get better economy with tunes, how is it like with Superchargers?

Economy is such a subjective topic as it changes with driving style and conditions for each and every customer. In saying that you can see better highway economy but under power superchargers will tend to drink more.

Hi. The stage 3 and 4 upgrade options, do they come which engineer cert? Do you guys have packages which i drive my car in and drive out fully legal and engineered and registered as force induction vehicle? The last thing we want is spending more than 100 grand and get into troubles which police everytime we drive

Hi Andy, The stage 3 and 4 packages don’t come with a engineers Certificate. We can orgnaise a engineering certificate for an additional fee of $3K if you require one.

Mate why is it tbat whipple are doing a low boost kit (2.9 whipple) same as you guys and theh are producing 380kw+ atw (not hubs) with the same mods you guys. Not trans, no driveline upgardes etc???? Gonna put a charger on and trying to find a reason why i should stay with N aussie company.

Hi Jarad, I wasn’t aware that Whipple did a kit for the Y62. It is a 2.9lt where as the Harrop is obviously a 2.3Lt and I would expect it would most likley be more expensive if it is anything like the LS products. Checking it out on line it sounds and looks like a good thing.
