I have a v6 Buick s2 motor. It has a wade 992a cam, Yella Terra 1.7 Rollers, Mahle Race Pistons, Heads machined, ported & polished, Twin throttles, 36lb Injectors, LS1 fuel pump, Lukey extractors & exhaust with 100cpsi high flow cat done by dandy exhaust. How much for a full tune? How much power should I expect?
Hi Chris
Best thing would be to give us a call as we would need more information on the vehicle to give you the answers you are after…
regards
Rob.
hey just curious as i didnt think mafless was available for the alloytec.
Hi Aaron,
No sorry we do not offer a Mafless tune for the alloytec.

Rob.
hi there, i have a 2008 holden ve sv6 i want to tune but ive been told that it cant be tuned due to it being a 2008 model. how do you find out if it was manufactured before may 2008? thanks
Hi Shiv,
Under the bonnet will be a silver ID plate with the cars details on it including VIN number and date of manufacture.

Just wondering how much it would cost to get a MAFless tune with a OTR cold air kit installed?
Also wanting to know if you guys do servicing on cars.
I have a 97 VS Commodore with dual fuel.
Cheers
Forgot to add that its a V6
hey guys, im not going to ask how much power i will gain or how much, what i want to know is, is the standard ecu capable of controlling F.I. ? if so does the HP tuner support F.I. once unlocked,
the car is a my06 vz 3.6ltr ute manual
cheers dylan
Hi Dylan,
Yes, the standard VZ computer is more than capable for F.I.
Cheers.
hey guys just wandering why you cant work on the ve alloytec’s made after may 08 ?
Hi Tim,
We can still work on those cars however the tuning software we use does not support car’s made after May 2008 and as far as I know there is no other option for custom ECU tuning.
Regards, Matt.
I was just curious on how much power i could see to gain with a ss cold air induction and a 2.5 inch high flow cat back exhaust with a tune? And if possible how much it would set me back.
I have a 96 vs commodore all stock. Also since im a P plater, i cant supercharge.
Cheers
I would expect around a 10% power increase.
I have a Vy series 2 Supercharged 3.8 V6
Would it be worth getting an ECU tune done
The motor is stock and has less than 150k on it
The only mod is a K&N filter in the original air box
Hi Simon, they come up quite well with a tune though I would suggest a 10psi pulley upgrade is a mandatory requirement for one of those cars along with the tune.
A MAFLESS tune is $1395 which includes us supplying and and fitting a 2-bar MAP sensor and a full custom dyno tune. The 10psi “press on pulley” will cost $460 supplied and fitted.
Cheers.
Iv got a standard VY V6 executive iv had for a few months now, Wondering if it would make any differences in performance if i was to get a tune up? it has no modifications done on it “YET” hehe
Hi Charles,
To be perfectly honest there isn’t too much to gain on the ecotecs with just a tune, you may be better off spending the money initially on upgrading the exhaust and intake. These engines do respond well to forced induction so perhaps look at supercharger options down the track.
Cheers,
I have a SV6 Commodore 2007 and was wondering how much ECU and Air intake would cost me since i want to get it done! thanks!.
The air intake cost $585 fitted, the tune cost $990 and takes one day. You can expect to gain around 15-20kw increase at the engine.
We need around 3-4 days notice.
Cheers,
Matt
I have an 6spd manual 08 VE SV6 with full exhaust + cai.
Just wondering what increases are expected with the tune and if you have done many alloytec’s before, if so.. good gains??
Cheers
Hi Alex,
We can only tune cars from before 06/08. You can expect to gain around 10-15kw at the engine. The tune will take one day and i require 4 days notice for a booking at the moment.
Cheers,
Matt
i am just enquiring about the EFI V6 tuner. what type of improvements are made & what type of estimated power increases are expected? i have a 2005 VZ sv6 commodore.
Hi Aren,
To be perfectly honest there isn’t much to gain tuning your particular model without significant mechanical modification to go along with it.
