The G4S-C390 upgrade starts with our trained technician fitting a new high performance camshaft and valve spring package that has been carefully selected by one of our sales team to match your driving and vehicle requirements. After all the components are fitted we custom tune your vehicle’s ECU on the dyno utilizing the latest tuning software to maximize power and torque.
We complete the upgrade process by testing your vehicle on the road to make final adjustments, optimizing you vehicles performance and driveability. This is all completed in approximately 3 days and at the end of this upgrade you will be provided with a dyno graph detailing the power & torque increase of your vehicle.
Package Includes
- 1 x ECU – reprogram – MAFLESS tune
- 1 x HP-F performance camshaft. (Selected specific to customer requirements)
- 1 x HP-F performance matched valve springs.
- 1 x HP-F heavy duty timing chain set.
- 1 x Set ARP cam bolts
- 5 x Genuine Coolant (litres).
- 1 x Oil pump o-ring
- 1 x Water pump gaskets
- 1 x Before and after dyno graph.
- 1 x All labour to fit / dyno tune / test.
Package Notes
L76 powered vehicles or any model with displacement on demand technology (AFM) requires replacement lifters to disable DOD. Add $1290. AFM will be disabled with this upgrade.
This power package is also available in a Do It Yourself kit which comes complete with all parts needed, just without the fitting.

- We recommend all vehicles coming to HPF for tuning run 98 Octane fuel. Please contact us if you have a need to use different fuel.
- Power figures listed are estimated kilowatts at the flywheel based on results typically obtained by HPF on HPF’s dynos. Typically these are based of a manual vehicle with standard driveline and standard wheels and tyres. Actual power can vary based on each specific vehicle.
- Modifications such as this package require the vehicle to be in excellent mechanical order.
- We advise against increasing the power output substantially on high kilometer engines, if your engine has in excessive of 150,000kms please contact us to discuss options.

With your budget the G4S-C390 cam package would be your best option for a major increase in power.
Ideally you would aslo want to upgrade to a full exhaust and over the radiator cold air intake with the cam package.

i have a ve ss 6 speed with a 2 1/2 inch cat back Walkinshaw system a 7 psi vortech kit would you have a cam kit that will give some good power gains and a nice lumpy idle and do you do a good strong clutch up grade for the cars mods im in fare west nsw and it would be good to get some prices on your work before i come over thanks

Yes our G4SS1 cam would give give you an extra 40-50rwkw and has a nice lumpy idle. Price for the package is drive in drive out- $3495.00
For a Clutch upgrade I would recommend the HD Exedy organic rated to 400rwk+ ( I have this clutch in my car) Cost to supply & install – $1795.00
We would need the car for three working days

If you are doing the cam upgrade we would highly recommended fitting a full system which would be around the $4K fitted and Include 4 into 1 headers, High flow metal cats and dual 3″ Stianless steel system.

You don’t have to upgrade the exhaust to do a cam and intake upgrade and in actual fact the HSV E3 exhaust is quit good.
a cam and intake package would cost you $4290.00 Drive in drive out and we would need the car for two days.

hey guys, i have a VE with a full 2 1/2″ system, what is the best upgrade i can get through you guys without having to throw out the current system???

Keep the exhaust and add the cam upgrade, the 2.5″ exhaust will still do the job nicely. The 3″ system may make a little more peak power but I cant see the gains justifying the expence of upgrading.

An exhaust system is basically mandatory for a camshaft upgrade on a V8 Commodore. The full HPF 3” exhaust is $4100 supplied and fitted, it is made entirely out of stainless steel and consists of 1-3/4” 4-1 Di filippo headers and 3” 100cell ballistic racing cats. The dual 3” system incorporates extra large rear mufflers with dual 3” pipe work to minimise drone and unwanted cabin noise whilst still allowing the full power of the engine to be realised. We then fit quad 3.5” tips that fill the exhaust opening fully and can be optioned in either HPF Black or Std Chrome. I would also add a HPF Over the radiator cold air intake to the package, this costs $645 installed. The standard fuel pump and injectors, as long as they are in good nick, will be fine for the upgrade.
