Gallery: Phillip Island Track Day

As part of testing for our entry into the Motor Magazine Hot Tuner challenge we organised a private track day at Phillip Island circuit. Phillip Island was chosen as it was similar in layout and speed to Eastern Creek where Hot Tuner will be held.

We also has a few lucky customers come out and join us as well as good friend Pete Wrench who was testing his HPF tuned Evo X and giving hot laps!

Our friends at Pedders Suspension not only helped us setup our VE’s suspension, but got plenty of track time in their project ‘eXtreme VE’. HPF has been heavily involved in the development of the Pedders VE, having fitted and tuned the Harrop supercharger kit as well as the clutch, exhaust, cam and balancer. Check out more information on the car here.

We will be holding more track days in the future where we can help you use your car at its limits legally as well as provide advice on car setup and the best lines. If you are interested in hearing more about the next drive day register your interested here and we’ll keep you informed.

From the vault – HPF Summernats 09

Street Commodores – 5/02/2009

Another Summernats has come and gone with mixed emotions for the team at HPF, as a lot of you will know Lyle lemon passed away early last year and it was with his wife Cheree’s consent that we decided to campaign MR PSI at this year’s HP Heroes competition at the Summernats in his honor. It was Lyle’s goal when he built MR PSI to win HP Heroes competition and I felt it was the least we could do to honour his memory.

Apart from the numerous customer cars up at the Nats, we took along three cars in particular, MRPSI to compete in HP hero’s, our blown blue XR8 Ute which we set-up for the burnout comp and a Chrysler 300C SRT8 with a stroked 426 Hemi topped with a Whipple 3.4litre supercharger and although it wasn’t completely finished we had to take just to show it off.
