  • Power figures listed are estimated kilowatts at the flywheel based on results typically obtained by HPF on HPF’s dynos. Typically these are based of a manual vehicle with standard driveline and standard wheels and tyres. Actual power can vary based on each specific vehicle.
  • Modifications such as this package require the vehicle to be in excellent mechanical order.
  • We advise against increasing the power output substantially on high kilometer engines, if your engine has in excessive of 150,000kms please contact us to discuss options.

    I just recently bought a 2009 335i and want to tune it. I have ordered the BMS DCI as well as the AR Design catless downpipe. Which stage map should I use for my 335i with those mods from the Cobb tune? And how much does it cost for the Cobb Accessport?

      We are currently selling Cobb AP’s for $1195, this will change once our current stock runs out as the dollar is effecting the price heavily at the moment. I cannot advise on map selection.

    Hi there I have a mazda 3 mps mazdaspeed and want to know if you make more horsepower with the cobb or with a mazdaedit. All my friends say mazdaedit is better but I love the cobbs.

      Hi Alex,

      It will not make a difference. If your engine makes maximum power with say, 18 psi of boost, 12 degrees of ignition timing and with the air fuel ratio at 11.7-1 and you can do that ‘Macgyver style’ with a tooth pick, an old shoe lace and a bottle of apple juice then you will make as much power as the guy tuning with the COBB AP or Maz-edit. Maz-edit is cheaper and very effective, the Cobb AP offers far more ‘cool’ features, is just as effective but at a higher price.

      Its not rocket science and there is no such thing as magic.

      If you want the best tune for your Mazda, get it tuned on a dyno by a professional tuner.

    What would be the most power I could get from my stock turbo Mazda 3 MPS?
    What supporting mods would I need to get the most from the tune?
    Can you tune for more than 30% E85?

      Hi Trojan,

      By tuning the ECU you can gain around 20-25kw at the wheels. We can tune to any level of E85 but then you must always run that same percentage.

    Hi There

    I have a BMW 335i e90.
    Are you able to do a custom tune using the Cobb access port? And will the cobb custom tune be any different to the hpf euro tune?
    Just want the added flexibility of all the features in the access port.
    Approx cost?

      Hi T,

      We can custom tune your 335i with a COBB AP or with the HPF Euro-tune software and as you say the AP does give you the added flexibility of all the APV3 features. Tune only is $1195, tune and Cobb AP V3 is $1895.

        So if my understanding is correct, for $1895 I would get my COBB device with all the preset COBB tunes + 1 HFP custom dyno tune?

        I am interested in downpipes + tune, however have read that the COBB downpipes do not fit Right Hand Drive models. Do you guys have other brands like Agency, AR design, Evolution Raceworks etc ?

        Also if I made future hardware mods, such as intercooler etc, how much are your follow up custom dyno tunes? Still $1195?

          Hi T,

          You are correct, $1895 will get you the AP and preset tunes as well as the 1 HPF Custom tune. You would need to source your own down pipe but we would be happy to install it for you. Retuning is $165 per hour.

            Hi Matt

            I bought a COBB v3 AP from you guys about 6 months ago for my N54 BMW 335i. I had initially run the stage 1 setup then added some bolt ons to go to stage 1+, then my latest mods have allowed me to run Stage 2 + (mods include upgraded Intercooler, Downpipe, Chargepipe and Diverter Valves). From what I have read on some Aus BMW forums COBB stage 2+ OTS typically outputs approx 260rwkw.

            I am interested in getting a custom tune done that can be stored as another tune on my COBB device, however just had a few questions

            1. Have you guys tuned any 135/335i with similar mods as my car?
            2. What do you think the custom tuned power will be? I have read on US forums that tuners have had good outcomes over the OTS COBB maps when carrying out a custom tune, upto 70rwhp mid range and 30rwhp peak increase over COBB stage 2+.             3. Do you have any idea on boost targets for these mods, have read about 17psi, or will you guys just look at the efficiency and power gained with additional boost along with timing curves to decide how much to push the turbos? I think COBB stage 2+ is 16psi
            4. Cost, given I bought COBB AP from you guys will it be $700 or more?

            Hi Tawfeeq,

            I remember the car. We have tuned a number of 135i’s with varying modifications so tuning will not be a problem.

            Boost targets will be set during the tune and balanced out with the timing curves.

            Price for custom tuning starts at $595.

    Hi There, what would you recommend the HPF Cobb tune or the HPF mazdaedit tune for a Mazda 3 MPS?

      Either or. Both will give you the same result, the benefit of the COBB is that it allows you to put the car back to standard, swap tunes around, check and clear trouble codes and has gauges where you can see what the engine is doing, but it costs more.
