IMPORT PERFORMANCE

As part of the constant evolution of HPF it was identified that the import performance scene required as much focus as the Australian car market so HPF made the decision to hire an import performance sales person.

The person selected for this position was Polo Bour. Polo brings with him a wealth of knowledge in all things European and Japanese. He currently drives a 310awkw Mitsubishi Evo5 wearing the plates STIKLR which recently featured in Fast4s magazine.

HPF AND MRPSI CONFIRMED FOR SUMMERNATS!

After an amazing one, two and three class finish at the Summernats 21 Horsepower Heroes competition HPF will once again make the trek to the nations capital and horsepower heaven!

After the tragic passing of Lyle Lemon, the owner of MRPSI and TTLS1, the future of MRPSI has been unknown. HPF have now been asked by Lyle’s family to take the car to Summernats 22 to attempt Lyles dream of 2000 rear wheel horsepower.

With a previous best of 1730rwhp those last 270hp won’t be easy to find but with our skilled team and plenty of testing HPF are confident!

HPF XR8 - YELLA TERRAFIED

HPF has been campaigning HPFXR8 for some time but were has never managed to achieve the desired results with the blown Boss V8.

That was until HPF installed one of the new Yella Terra Whipple supercharger kits to a customers Boss powered Falcon! HPF was impressed and wanted to explore what could be achieved with this kit when pushed on the strip.

An arrangement was made with Yella Terra which saw the HPFXR8 fitted with a complete, off the shelf, intercooled Whipple supercharger kit with replacement plenum and throttle body.
At its debut drag event, the Ford Drag Nationals at Heathcote park it ran a best of 10.56 @ 129.5mph straight off the trailer.

This is a purpose built motor and automatic, but similar results could be achieved on a standard motor.

HPF will continue its campaign with Yella Terra with the aim of setting record times and turning this research into better packages for all Boss powered Fords.

Memorable work moment?
Being part of the team at Summernats just after I started. Also getting to drive MRPSI into and out of the Exhibition Centre for Autosalon and looking at everyones faces!

If you had 50k to spend on a car what would you get/build?
It if was to drive every day an 08 Subaru STi, otherwise build my VK Calais the way I want!

DYNO DAYS

HPF has been pleased to run three separate dyno days in the past few months for local car clubs wanting to test the power of their automotive loves.

August 23 saw the Victorian WRX Club (www.wrx.com.au) at HPF with 30+ cars predominantly Subarus, taking to the dyno.

Vic Street Scene (www.vicstreetscene.com) was at HPF September 20th with 30 very varied cars, from a standard 1960’s VW Beetle to cammed LS1’s.

Lastly was the Opel Car Club with its share of small European performance on 27th September.

A dyno days consists of a group of vehicles testing their power on our chassis dynamometers. The car is driven onto large rollers and strapped down, these rollers act as a rolling road and with a known load applied a measurement of power can be provided.
