OILCHANGE

HPF changes your motor oil with Premium Castrol products.

We install a new oil filter, and check and top up all essential fluids. HPF technicians perform a complete chassis lubrication using your vehicles' exisiting fittings.

TUNE-UP

When your car or truck is properly tuned, the ignition system, emission system and the computer system are all working together. This results in peak combustion chamber efficiency, saving you money at the petrol pump and making sure your vehicle is emitting a minimum of pollutants.

Tune-up includes new spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor. Also includes (if equipped) ignition points, condenser and breather element. All tune-ups include labor to install parts and any necessary adjustments. Drivability diagnostics (if necessary) may be extra. (Internal or sealed carburetor adjustments not included). Most cars.

DEALERS LOG BOOK SERVICE

Recent advances in automotive technology have resulted in vehicles that are better built, longer lasting, and more service free than ever before. To ensure peak performance and to that you get the years of trouble-free driving you expect, the manufacturer has developed a recommended maintenance schedule for your vehicle. This maintenance service must be completed in order to keep your warranty valid, and HPF can perform all of the services recommended by each manufacturer.

While it varies by make and model, minor services generally include changing the oil and oil filter, lubrication the chassis if it has not been factory sealed, and an inspection of all fluids, filters, hoses, brakes and emissions. Major services include these plus the replacement of various filters, fluids, and spark plugs. Other specified major services relate to the fuel delivery, emissions, and ignition systems. Some manufacturers even recommend tire rotation as a part of a major service.

AIR CONDITIONING

If your car or truck's air conditioning isn't working up to par, don't sweat it. In most cases, HPF can solve the problem.

Your vehicle's air conditioning system is made up of a complex array of components, including a compressor, condenser, receiver/dryer or accumulator an evaporator and the refrigerant. The refrigerant, under various pressure conditions, passes through these components and changes between a liquid and gas state. As a vapor, it absorbs heat, which produces the cooling effect. Because the refrigerant used in most air conditioning systems is considered harmful to the environment, it is critical that it not be allowed to escape during servicing. HPF uses a sealed, environmentally friendly process which captures the refrigerant, cleans it, replenishes it and returns it to your vehicles air conditioning system good as new. Your vehicles air conditioning system should be inspected each year prior to the warm weather months for optimum cooling.

BRAKES

When it comes to safety, no part of your car is more important than the brakes. They should be inspected at least once a year to determine the condition of the hydraulic system, friction materials and opening hardware. You never want to be in a situation where you cannot depend on your brakes.

How can you tell your vehicles brakes need servicing? The brake pedal can be depressed nearly to the floor. You hear a squealing or other unusual noise when you apply the brakes. The car pulls to one side when you apply the brakes. You feel a grinding or bumpy sensation as you come to a stop. Some brands of brake pads have a built-in device which produces a high pitched squeal when the brake pads are getting low. In general, if there is something about your brakes that is making you uncomfortable, you should have them inspected.

HPFs standard brake service includes an inspection of your vehicle's entire braking system. Pads and shoes are replaced when necessary. At an additional cost, drums and rotors are refinished if they have become scored, or replaced if they are too badly worn. The hydraulic system is purged of air and adjusted. Based on our inspection, there may be other components that may need to be replaced, in which case we would contact you before proceeding. While the entire braking system requires attention, the friction materials-the pads, shoes, rotors and drums-require constant attention because they wear down each time you apply your brakes.

COOLING SYSTEM SERVICE

The engines in many of the cars and trucks on the road are smaller than they used to be, as well as being far more efficient. But they also produce a great deal of heat. Engine oil running through the galleys and pathways of the engine block help keep the heat in an acceptable range responsible for controlling heat is the cooling system.

It is critical that the proper pressure conditions and coolant volume be maintained in the cooling system. This is best accomplished with a good fitting radiator cap and radiator hoses that are not worn, cracked or disintegrating. Hoses should be checked regularly, as well as engine belts, which are responsible for the operation of the water pump, and in some cases, the fan. Failure to maintain the cooling system can result in overheating, which can cause severe damage to the engine. Many overheating situations are caused by faulty hoses, and can be prevented by a service, which is quick, simple and inexpensive.

FUEL INJECTION

Not to long ago, most cars used a carburetor to deliver fuel into the engine. But today, almost every car uses fuel injection. Fuel injection cleaning is now a necessary maintenance required on today's cars and trucks.

When you start your engine, the fuel is pumped out of the tank, through the fuel filter, into the fuel rail and through the injectors. Fuel injectors are responsible for delivering fuel into the engine's combustion chamber where it is mixed with the proper amount of air and ignited by the spark plugs. This creates the combustion process. The injectors and particularly the injector nozzles exist in an environment where tremendous heat is generated. The burning of the fuel leaves hardened carbon deposits on piston valves and fuel injector nozzle heads. This interferes with the spray pattern and flow of fuel. Driveability problems such as hesitation, difficult starting, poor gas mileage, sluggish operation and poor performance can result.
