The 'Boss's Car', Rob's VE Calais competed in the Bolt On street legal class piloted by Marty. Marty was Mr Consistency for the day repeating a 12.6 second time slip many times throughout the day. The HPF team were happy with this performance and shows what can be acheived with an HPF bolt on upgrade package.

Following the tragic passing of Lyle Lemon, the owner of TTLS1, his family approached Rob and requested that he drive the car at the Nats. As a tribute to Lyle, HPF installed a passenger seat and took his wife Sheree for a full power run with a timeslip reading 9.6 seconds.

The car was up and down all day with several breakages slowing progress, after the faulty sensor, spark plugs and broken driveshafts were replaced times dropped. Rob managed to run the car to a best of 9.35 seconds which was enough to claim equal second place in the renegade class. Winner of this class was Tim Holmyard in his VX tuned by HPF.

The Ford class ended up being fought out between the two HPF entered cars. Paul ended up taking the cake with more consistent passes even though in the final George ran a 11.71 second pass over Pauls 12.127. Both cars struggled for traction throughout the day which was evident by the lack of consistent times.

Congratulation should also be given to our valued customers who ran their cars on the day with some excellent achievements. Mick's with his HPF Twin Turbo HOTGEN ran a 12.6 second pass on his first even run, and continued to improve on those times as the day progressed. Tim Holmyard continued to impress with a personal best of 8.87 @ 160mph in his HPF tuned, NOS fed LS1. Matt with his HPF Tuned BLN355 reeled off several high 10 second passes with a best of 10.63 @ 137mph. Tim in his HPF prepped turbo ute ran a 10.5 @ 137mph before a driveline breakage ended his day early.
