The Chevrolet L5P 2500 Silverado 6.6L Diesel Stage 1 package starts with one of our trained technicians setting your vehicle up on one of our dynamometers and performing a baseline dyno run. This allows us to firstly make sure everything is working A-OK and secondly it gives us standard figure from your car to compare to once the upgrade is completed.  Once the baseline dyno run is done, we commence the upgrade by connecting the latest in ECU reprogramming tools which allows us to directly tune and optimize the trucks factory ECU parameters. The vehicle is then custom tuned on the dyno to ebable more power and torque to be released depending on which tune mode you select. As part of the HPF tune upgrade on your 2500, we offer 5 switchable on-the-fly tunes that can be selected from the steering wheel. 

We complete the upgrade process by testing your vehicle on the dyno and the road to make final adjustments, optimizing your vehicle's performance and driveability. This is all typically completed in a day and at the end of this upgrade you will be provided with a dyno graph detailing the power & torque increase of your vehicle.

5 Dynamic Tune Positions

Our custom tuning for the Chevy Silverado 2500 offers five selectable tunes, adjustable on-the-fly via an OEM steering wheel switch. Each tune is tailored for specific tasks, from exhilarating performance to heavy-duty towing, ensuring optimal power, reliability, and drivability.

5/ Performance Tune
Unleash thrilling power with the Performance Tune, adding 110 kW and 360 Nm for a total of 445 kW and 1600 Nm. Designed for rapid acceleration and crisp gear shifts, it eliminates throttle lag, delivering V8 sedan-like agility. Ideal for spirited drives but not suited for towing heavy loads like caravans or boats without close monitoring of EGTs.

4/ Daily Drive Tune
The Daily Drive Tune enhances everyday fun, boosting power by 100 kW and 240 Nm. Enjoy swift acceleration, a lighter feel, and precise throttle response with a smooth power curve. It retains factory turbo-braking and OEM reliability, making your Silverado a joy for daily commutes with ample power and torque.

3/ Medium Tow Tune
Perfect for balanced towing and driving, the Medium Tow Tune delivers a refined power curve and adds 60 kW and 195 Nm. With “SMART EGT Control” to manage exhaust temperatures and air-fuel limits to reduce soot, it’s built for towing up to 3,600 kg. Full turbo-brake functionality, smooth trailer maneuvering, and refined pedal sensitivity ensure confident performance.

2/ Max Tow Tune
The Max Tow Tune is engineered for heavy towing, safely adding 30 kW and 100 Nm without elevating EGTs. Featuring “SMART EGT Control” and soot-limiting air-fuel ratios, it’s ideal for towing 3,600 kg up to GVM. Retains turbo-brake function, offers smooth low-speed control, and lurch-free reversing with optimized pedal response for secure towing.

The Factory Plus Tune subtly enhances stock settings, keeping near-factory power levels. Perfect for troubleshooting mechanical issues or when others drive your truck, it ensures dependable performance while maintaining OEM characteristics, offering a reliable and familiar driving experience.

SMART EGT Control is a custom feature integrated into our tuning calibrations for the Chevy Silverado 2500, designed to automatically manage Exhaust Gas Temperatures (EGTs) during operation. EGTs are critical in diesel engines, as excessively high temperatures can damage engine components, turbochargers, or exhaust systems, especially under heavy load conditions like towing or high-performance driving.

Here’s how SMART EGT Control works:

Real-Time Monitoring: The system continuously monitors EGTs using sensors in the exhaust system, ensuring temperatures remain within safe limits.

Dynamic Adjustments: When EGTs approach predefined thresholds, SMART EGT Control intelligently adjusts engine parameters—such as fuel delivery, air-fuel ratios, or boost pressure—to reduce heat output without significantly compromising performance.

Soot Reduction: By optimizing combustion through precise air-fuel ratio management, it minimizes soot production, keeping the exhaust system cleaner and reducing the risk of clogging diesel particulate filters (DPFs).

Task-Specific Calibration: The system is tailored to the specific tune (e.g., Light Tow or Heavy Tow), ensuring EGT management aligns with the demands of towing, daily driving, or performance scenarios.
